    Seckou Keita
Seckou believes that music can make a difference. Brought up by a traditional Griot family in the region of Casamance in southern Senegal, he began his musical training at a very early age. He has been touring internationally for the past 12 years and has been fundraising for the ICRC since November 2010. But he doesn’t do what he does just to sell albums.

Seckou knows first-hand what armed violence can do to people's lives because he’s witnessed it. In his TEDxRC² performance, Seckou will stun us with his gift and his unique take on a musical tradition that has been passed down in his family for generations.
